Hello, friends. My name is Rachel.

I am a 23-year-old social worker with a BS in psychology living in a small town in eastern Ohio. I became a vegan over five years ago. In those five years I have spent the vast majority of my mental energy learning as much as I can. I’ve hoped that in doing so I will somehow be able to make a difference.

Since I began my transition to a vegan lifestyle, I haven’t been able to shake this overwhelming sense of duty I feel to inform everyone I am able to what I have learned. Not many are willing to listen, but even if my efforts are futile, I’ll keep trying.

Because I truly believe that veganism is the only chance humanity has of saving the earth and ourselves. This blog is my attempt to add my voice (however small) to the many others advocating for the animals and the earth. I hope that you discover more compassion and love within yourself than you knew you possessed, and help me in my efforts, and so many others’ efforts, to end the suffering of the most innocent among us.
